Spectrum Noir searches for next Discovery Kit artist

Art materials brand, Spectrum Noir, is on the lookout for a new artist to feature in its Discovery Kit collection.

To commemorate the second launch of Spectember, the brand’s month-long art celebration, Spectrum Noir is running a competition in which aspiring and established artists have the opportunity to design the brand’s next Discovery Kit.

To be in with a chance of winning the competition, artists can submit their designs online. Fans of the brand also have the opportunity to win the entire collection of existing Spectrum Noir Discovery Kits.

Each Discovery Kit showcases an artist, their chosen technique and features everything you need to get started, including a how-to guide and pens. The range currently consists of Watercolour, Manga and Comic, Creative Colouring, Modern Calligraphy, Illustration, Blended Mandalas and Concept Design kits.

Spectember runs from 1 September until 30 September. Throughout the month, Spectrum Noir aims to inspire creativity across its social media platforms by encouraging people to try its daily themes. The art materials brand will showcase a number of the makes across its channels.

Simon Hodges, head of art, said: “Our Discovery Kits are the perfect way to try something new and we worked with some fantastic designers and artists to bring them to life.

“Spectember is all about education, inspiration and creativity, and it’s exciting to think that this competition could enable us to find our next Discovery Kit artist. I can’t wait to see what creations people share throughout the month and look forward to seeing some innovative Discovery Kit ideas.”

The Spectrum Noir ‘You Could Be Our Next Discovery’ competition is live now and will run until 30th Sep 2020 at 11:59pm GMT.
