    Default Unmounted stamps question please.

I'm loving some of the unmounted stamps that have been on TV lately, are you supposed to do something with them, easy mount was mentioned?
Sorry for the stupid question but I really don't have a clue.

I love the animals ones on Sunday and the Funky ones that were on a couple of days ago.

I'm so new at this that I don't even have any acrylic blocks yet!

Thanks for any and all help.

You can use umount on the back of the unmounted rubber stamps. The clear ones are usually self cling, so you don't need any thing with them, just put them on an acrylic block. Most of my unmounted rubber stamps, I don't bother with umount. I just use glue stick and stick it to acrylic block. It is easy to clean off if you do it straight away. I have a stamp mat which I find helps you to get a good impression when using unmounted rubber stamps. Mine is about 12 inch square and cost about £3. Far cheaper than buying umount.

I use EZ mount on the back of my unmounted stamps. Saves messing around with a glue stic and provides some cushioning.

I never put anything on the back of my unmounted stamps either, just use a glue stick. But do stamp onto a large stamp mat.

    Thank you all.

Got to buy a new glue stick or two, 3 year old grandson used the last of what I had.
Looks like I'll have to find one of these mats now, LOL, it's never ending is it?

    Thanks.

This is what you need. They do 2 sizes, mine is the large one, I got it from a local craft shop. This one is the smaller size, but is big enough for most stamps.
It is the purple mat. You may be able to find a large one if you want one, it looks exactly the same but larger.

I don't stamp onto anything special at all. I just use my normal self-healing cutting mat that is always on my table.

hadn't come across stamping mats before. Very tempted. Wondering whether a mouse mat would work as well, a bit more give than the self healing mats.
